Teaching Philosophy
Not only do I hope to have a successful career as a performer, but it is also vital  for me to give back the knowledge of dance that was passed on to me. After sitting in on a speech by Kevin Spacey at the Arts Advocacy in Washington D.C. in 2011, I was touched by his emphasis on the importance of education.  Mr. Spacey stated that it is essential to always send the elevator back down. This was a pivotal moment in my views of teaching, and I look forward to being able to give back my knowledge to the youth that will be shaping our future. My objective as a teacher is to create a lively environment that encourages students to put in one hundred percent. I find it imperative to construct a healthy atmosphere full life to enable students to work hard and be able to form a positive student/teacher relationship. My class routine varies depending on the level of my students.  I work in a collaborative setting as I value the importance of my students needs. I work hard to maintain a balance between challenging my students as well as creating achievable goals so they stay encouraged to work hard.  My aspiration is to broaden my student's knowledge on the history of dance, teach them the proper technique of the particular style, and inspire them to follow their dreams in whatever it may be.
